Around the UK in a Rolling Jukebox

Welp, that’s a wrap. 20 shows in 4 weeks.
I have so much respect for The Handsome Family who worked to get me on this and other tours. I’m honored and forever grateful to have even been considered for the great journey. These harpies are some of the most gracious and generous tourmates I’ve had the pleasure of traveling with.
I have hundreds of personal notes to follow up on, most importantly “watch Father Ted”. There were many bizarre and profound moments. I will never forget Rennie Sparks wandering around a dreary, windswept parking lot in Edinburgh, Scotland, waving a piece of old wet bread and yelling “I’m gonna catch me a husband!” To a crow.

In a welcome relief from my solo adventure, I was allowed to join the band on “Bottomless Hole” and “When That Helicopter Comes”…

There was the time these equestrians tried to lure ponies into the van…

And I will really miss watching the musical Swiss Army Knives that are Jason Toth and Alex McMahon every night…

All in all though, it is good to be back in the holler.

Most importantly, a sincere Thank You to all the interesting people I met and befriended at the merch booth and behind the scenes. I hope to see you again after the new record is finished, and beyond.
